Almost always people use numbers with a base of 10. But should you be working base 2 (Binary numbers), base 8 (Octal), or base 16 (Hexadecimal), CalGraph will convert from one system to another.
Click Utilities and then Conversions.
Holding the Control key and typing q has the same result.
In the Conversions window select Number Systems.
Click the kind of number you have in the Units From: box, and the kind of number you want in the
Units To: box.
Enter the number in the lower left box and click Convert.
This window shows that the Binary number 1000 is written 8 in base 10.
